I have come to learn recently about Charticulator, looking for the possibility to draw Scatters plots with categorical data. It seems to be a Microsoft opensource extension for more powerful charting and can be easily added to PowerBI Desktop.
Search for Charticulator and Add/ Install it.
You need then to learn how to use Charticulator. I have learned from here to make a scatter chart: the part "bring the circle from the symbols beside Marks inside the Glyph canvas" wasn't very intuitive to me.
Add Charticulator to PowerBI Desktop
In the Visualization view,
Go to Home-> More Visuals-> From App Source
After that you will have a small new icon in the Visualizations Panel:
You need then to learn how to use Charticulator. I have learned from here to make a scatter chart: the part "bring the circle from the symbols beside Marks inside the Glyph canvas" wasn't very intuitive to me.
This opens a door to new capabilities and new learning. Charticulator looks like the new hype for PowerBI advanced users.
