In Microsoft Teams you may get easily lost or it may take quite some time to find quickly a Team or dedicated Channel. Of course, you can sort your Teams, hide and you can also search. But still wouldn't it be nice if you could manage Teams and Channels like you manage Bookmarks or Favorites and quickly search for them from a Launcher bar? I present here such a way using the Teams Shortcuts PowerTool.
Screencast
Usage Description
Add a Team Link or Channel Link to Favorites
From Teams Shortcuts Menu -> Add to Favorites or from Teamsy Keyword 2f or 2fav
You can either copy the link to the clipboard and then run the add to favorites or run it and you will be prompted to paste a Teams link in the input box. (The tool will check if the clipboard is a Teams Link in the first case.)
The default proposed favorite name is intelligent i.e. translated from the link via PowerShell to reflect the Team and channel name.
Browse/ Search for Favorites from application Launcher
As described in this post, you can add your Teams Favorites folder to your Application Launcher library to be scanned.
Then typing the name of the favorites will be displayed in the launcher bar.
Manage your Favorites
You can open your favorites folder from Teams Shortcuts, Menu Settings-> Open Favorites Folder
or from Teamsy Keyword of (open fav) or fav
