Confluence: Move a row in a table

I didn't know this one and it is a time-saver.

Problem description

In Confluence Server/Data Center there is no easy or obvious solution to move rows in a Table.
(In the Cloud you can do this with an easy drag-and-drop.)

I was used to go this way:
  • select the whole row
  • Ctrl+X to cut it (it won't delete the row but only the content)
  • Insert a new row
  • Ctrl+V to paste the previous row
  • Delete the old empty row

Solution

  • Select row to move (only a cell / not the whole row)
  • Ctrl+Shift+X (cut row)
  • Click below where you want the row moved
  • Ctrl+Shift+V (paste row above)

No need to select the full row / just click in a cell of the row
Paste will insert a row above the current one
