This post describes how to share a Google Slides presentation as Read-Only,
Unfortunately, Google Slides does not work like Microsoft Office here and there is no way to configure this shared link to be Read-only. The shared link will grant access to the presentation file and others will be able to edit the presentation.
Problem Description
I was looking for how to share a Google Slides Presentation as Read-Only.
The familiar maybe Microsoft Office preconditioned way for me was to Go to the Top Right Share button and looking for creating a link with Read-Only configuration:
Solution
I have found out by change (Googling for the solution did not help for me here, that's why I share it here quickly), the right way to share a Google Slides presentation for viewing only is to Publish the file.
You find this option under the menu File -> Share-> Publish to web
This is pretty nice, the file will open in slideshow mode.
