I share in this post some tweak to make the Confluence Task Report Macro easier to use.
There is no option not to look below the page(s), but luckily, most likely this is the behavior you want.
Task Report Macro Configuration
The most common configuration I use for the Confluence Task Report Macro, is to reduce the scope to the current page.
The standard behavior of the macro when choosing a page, is to display all the Tasks included in pages below the selected page. (This is not very clear from the UI)
There is no option not to look below the page(s), but luckily, most likely this is the behavior you want.
User Macro
For Confluence Server/Data Center you can create a user macro to have this configuration done by default.
It saves you the step to select the current page in the standard macro configuration. It will dynamically set the page to the current one.
Go to: Confluence Administration-> User Macros
Create a new macro.
Configure it as shown in the screenshot below:
