Outlook: Reply to Email with a Meeting

There is a quite unknown but very useful feature in Microsoft Outlook: you can convert an email into a meeting in one-click!
This feature is available when you have an email selected in the Ribbon Home->Respond->Meeting as shown in the screenshot below:


This will create a meeting appointment and do two more things:
  • copy the content/body of the email into the new meeting
  • AND invite the people in the email original distribution list (it will even keep the to/cc order)
The second part is the key/ not so known part. (You achieve the first part also by drag and drop the email into your calendar)

You can also access this feature via the Ctrl+Alt+R hotkey.

This is a real timesaver. (Thanks Microsoft for this one.)
