It is sometimes nice to provide a direct link to reach someone (e.g. yourself) in Microsoft Teams via a chat or a call. You can for example add such links your email signature or your (e.g. Confluence) profile page.
I explain in this post how to create/ use such links.
1-1 chat link
You can create Teams Chat link to some colleagues using the deep link feature.
See Microsoft documentation here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/platform/concepts/deep-links
The Link looks then like this:
1-1 call link
Check Teams is properly set as Default App
Default App for callto: protocol shall be changed e.g. from Skype to Teams.
Then simply using callto:<email> as link will trigger a call by Teams.
Browser Whitelist callto: protocol
To run such links from your emails without being asked for confirmation to open with Teams, you might want to add callto to the Url global Whitelist.
Popped out Chat link or command?
I couldn't find a way to open directly a popped out chat. It is most likely possible because you can do this from Outlook Visit card.
Clicking on the chat icon in Outlook visit card will open a popped-out 1-1 chat.
