CLC Jahresmotto 2021

From the Corporate Learning Community https://colearn.de/clc-jahresmotto-besser-formulieren-wissen-teilen-ist-macht/

Current Motto: Von „Wissen ist Macht“ zu „Wissen teilen ist Macht“
What do you think about it? Alternative formulations?

What I don't like in the current Motto

I don't like in "Wissen teilen ist Macht" the combination of sharing with power.
Yes sharing makes you stronger, allows you to grow.
But you can understand "Wissen ist Macht" as if you keep your knowledge for yourself, don't share it, it gives you some kind of power. You are irreplaceable (unersetzbar). In this sense, if you share your knowledge, you will lose this kind of power. The purpose of sharing is not to achieve power but to grow: yourself and the people you share with.

I would rather switch the referential from a space of power to a space of growth.

Proposals

The idea of the current motto is to help instill a mindset change from keeping knowledge to sharing it.
This might seems like a paradox like in when you give, you get more.

I like alternative quotes like Knowledge Shared is Knowledge squared.
This illustrates that sharing knowledge in fact will multiply/ increase it. And not in a linear way but exponentially. (squared not doubled)

I like also "Sharing is the fuel to your growth engine."
